Billy Decks and Patios LLC operates as a licensed and insured contractor. Before signing, request the current license classification and insurance documentation applicable to the proposed work, then verify the license through Virginia’s official lookup.
Put the work in writing.
The agreement and supporting documents should describe the work, selected materials or allowances, exclusions, payment terms and responsibilities that apply to the project.
Separate permits from HOA review.
Public permits, zoning review and private association approval are different processes. Confirm which party prepares, submits and pays for each item in the signed scope.
Document changes before proceeding.
A change should identify the revised work and its effect on price or timing. Written authorization helps the customer and project team work from the same decision.
Finish with a clear handoff.
Walk through the completed work, document remaining items and retain available product, care, permit and warranty information with the project records.
