Design options
Decide whether you want seasonal enclosure or conditioned living space. That choice affects far more than the window selection. Discuss views, glare, furniture placement and the transition from the existing room into the proposed space.
Materials and product selections
Window and door systems, roof assemblies, insulation and finishes should be selected as part of the intended room type. For manufactured enclosures, confirm the product specifications, permitted use and installation requirements before assuming a particular level of comfort.
Construction considerations
Foundation capacity, structural support, water management and the connection to the house require review. A porch is not automatically suitable for conversion into conditioned space. Heating, cooling and other trade work must be included when part of the agreed scope.
From first conversation to construction
Start with photos and priorities. Review the site and the information needed for the scope, coordinate selections and supporting design, then agree on the work before construction. Read BILDEN’s project process and keep the proposal, changes and care information together.
