OUTDOOR LIGHTING / GENESIS

Light the moments that matter.

Paths & transitions

Identify the routes between doors, patios and garden areas. Consider changes in level and the places where people arrive, pause or turn, then coordinate fixture placement with the paving and planting.

Dining & gathering

Plan a comfortable evening setting around seating and cooking areas. Consider task lighting where it is useful and a quieter atmosphere where people relax.

Landscape & architecture

Choose the features you want to emphasize: a tree, a textured wall or the edge of a garden. Discuss fixture visibility, glare and the effect from inside the house as well as outside.

PLAN BEFORE THE FINISHES

Make lighting part of the construction conversation.

Consider wiring routes, power needs, fixture access and controls before completing patios, planting or structural finishes. For combined projects, Genesis lighting plans are coordinated with BILDEN’s deck, stair and porch work.

The proposal defines equipment, installation and any required electrical work. Qualified trades handle the electrical scope appropriate to the selected system and property.

EXISTING LIGHTING

Refresh the system you already have.

Genesis’s lighting services include upgrades and repairs alongside new installations. Share what is not working, where the light feels uncomfortable and which areas you want to enjoy more. The project assessment establishes whether adjustment, replacement or a broader redesign is appropriate.

YOUR LIGHTING BRIEF

Tell us how the space feels after dark.

Send daytime photographs and, if available, evening views from the house and patio. Identify routes that feel poorly lit, features you want to highlight and lights you would like to replace.

Include any planned kitchen, planting or hardscape changes so the lighting can develop with the complete outdoor environment.

Four illustrated stages: share priorities, review the property, plan and select, then install and review.
